IDEAL INDUSTRIES launches its new low-cost Fibre Optic Power Meter and Light Source.
The power meter can measure multimode and single mode signals at 850, 1300/1310, 1490 and 1550nm wavelengths. The meter features a universal adapter and measurements in dBm and miliwatts.
It also has a calibration feature to store a reference value and directly read the loss of the link without the user needing to calculate the value. This mode is mostly used by installers when measuring fibre optic cabling from end-to-end to determine the link loss of the system.
